'If in doubt, don't drive': Warning from Devon & Cornwall Police after Euros

Officers are urging fans who had a few drinks during last night's England game not to get behind the wheel too soon

Devon & Cornwall Police have issued a don't drink and drive warning after last the Euros.

Fans who had a few drinks during last night's England game are being urged not to get behind the wheel too soon.

Officers say time is the only thing that gets rid of alcohol from the system and no amount of full English breakfasts or coffee will help.

The force has tweeted to say 'if in doubt, don't drive', to 'make sure you come home'.

"How are you feeling this morning? Had a few last night?

"Time is the only thing that eliminates alcohol from your system.

"A full English or all the coffee in the world won't help.

"Any amount of alcohol can impair your judgement. If in doubt, don't drive.

"Make sure you come home".
