Disabled teenager assaulted at carnival in north Cornwall village

A disabled teenager has reportedly been assaulted at a carnival in north Cornwall.

Police are investigating what happened in Delabole two Saturdays ago on the 16th July.

The boy was not injured during the incident on the high street that night and officers say the two parties were known to each other.

Our force wants to hear from anyone who saw what happened or has any information.

A Devon & Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "Police are investigating reports of an assault on a teenage boy in Delabole, Cornwall, on Saturday 16th July, appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

"Officers were called to reports of an assault at the Delabole Carnival, on the High Street, at around 9.45pm.

"The teenager, who is physically disabled did not sustain any injuries.

"The suspect who is an older teenager, is described as a white male, of stocky build, approximately 5ft 3in tall with dark hair.

"Both parties are known to each other.

"The police would also like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information that could help with their enquiries."
