Police investigating reports of large fight in Camborne town centre at night

It is believed that two fights broke out in the early hours of Sunday

Police are investing reports of a large fight in Camborne town centre.

Officers were called to Trelowarren Street in the early hours of Sunday morning and believe two altercations had taken place.

The first was between a group of women and the second between a group of men.

A young man was arrested and has since been released under investigation.

Anyone who saw what happened or who has any information is asked to contact police.

A Devon & Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at around 1:40am on Sunday 27th February following reports of a large altercation taking place on Trelowarren Street in Camborne Town Centre.

"It is believe that two fights took place, the first between a group of females, then followed by a group of men.

"A 22-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and of being drunk and disorderly; he has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries."
