Police continue murder investigation in St Austell
Officers have created a web page for people with more information
Police investigating the murder of a woman in St Austell have created a new web page for anyone with information.
It follows the death of a woman in her sixties at a house in Penwithick Road on Tuesday evening.
Police have created a Major Incident Public Portal (MIPP) page - where people can upload things like doorbell, dashcam or CCTV footage that might help the investigation.
Police have also been given more time to question the man suspected in suspicion of murder and the thirty-six year old remains in police custody.
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Inspector Rob Smith said: "I continue to ask anyone who may have relevant dashcam footage, doorbell or CCTV footage that would have been active on the evening of Tuesday 28 March in the areas between Penwithick Road, Carluddon and Manor View, Par to contact police and report anything that may assist us".
Officers and paramedics attended the scene at around 6.55pm on Tuesday 28 March and found a woman, aged in her 60s, unresponsive and with serious facial injuries.
Despite the efforts of those who attended, she was pronounced deceased a short time later.
Her next of kin have been informed.
A cordon remains in place at Penwithick Road and officers remain in the area carrying out enquiries.
Anyone with any information is asked to report this to Devon and Cornwall Police via the Major Incident Public Portal site, under Operation Milebush.
You can access the portal on their website.
