Police confirm man's death after being called to 'incident' in Camborne

Officers and ambulance rushed to Cranberry Road amid concerns for a person's welfare

It has been confirmed that a man has died after emergency services were called to an incident in Camborne.

Police and ambulance crews got the shout to Cranberry Road, where Camborne Science and International Academy is located, on Thursday afternoon.

It was amid concerns for a person's welfare.

Sadly a man in his 50s had died at the scene.

Officers say his family has been told and the death is not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called by the ambulance service at 2.30pm on Thursday 14 October to Cranberry Road, Camborne, following reports of concern for the welfare of a man.

"A man in his 50s was confirmed deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner".

South Western Ambulance Service say they are unable to provide details about incidents in private locations.

Camborne Science and International Academy has been contacted for a statement.
