Police appeal over 'abusive and racist graffiti' painted on cliffs in Cornwall

Police are investigating reports of abusive and racist graffiti painted on the cliffs at a beach in Cornwall.

Officers were called to Pednvounder near Treen St Levan, west of Penzance, on Thursday 12th August.

Residents and visitors helped the National Trust to get it removed.

Devon & Cornwall Police are now appealing for witnesses, saying this sort of incident will not be tolerated,

PC Darren Hughes, Neighbourhood Beat Manager, said: “The Neighbourhood Team will be working with the National Trust to follow up on any information that will help identify those responsible for the disgusting graffiti at one of Cornwall’s most beautiful locations".
