Man 'seriously assaulted' in Newquay sparks police appeal

The attack took place on Saturday 27th March in Bank Street

A man has suffered a cut to his head following a serious assault in Newquay.

Officers from Devon and Cornwall Police attended the scene in Bank Street around 3.40pm on Saturday 27th March.

It is thought the male was assaulted by a man and a woman.

Police are now appealing for witnesses who may have seen anything or may have phone footage to come forward.

Officers would also like to thank members of the public who assisted at the time.

"Police are appealing for information after a man was seriously assaulted in Bank Street, Newquay, on Saturday 27 March.

"The incident took place at around 3.40pm, when the male was assaulted by a man and a woman, and sustained a cut to his head.

"Police are appealing to the public for witnesses who may have seen the incident take place or who may have phone footage of it.

"Anyone with information is being urged to contact Newquay Police via 101 or email quoting reference CR/023901/21.

"Police would also like to thank the members so public who assisted."
