Police appeal issued after report of dog stolen in Perranporth

Officers think this man and the owners of two campervans might have information vital to the investigation

Police investigating reports of a dog being stolen in Perranporth have issued an appeal.

The black Patterdale terrier, with a white patch on its chest, was reportedly taken from the Tywarnhayle Square area.

It happened at around 1.30pm on Tuesday 8th June.

Officers want to speak to this 'distinctly-dressed' man, saying they think he might have vital information.

They want to talk to the owners of these two campervans as well, who are also believed to have information vital to the investigation.

Anyone with information is being urged to contact the force via 101, quoting crime reference CR/047164/21.

Devon & Cornwall Police said: "Police are appealing for witnesses following a report of the theft of a dog from the Tywarnhayle Square area of Perranporth at around 1.30pm on Tuesday 8th June.

"The dog is a black-coloured Patterdale terrier with a white patch on its chest.

"Officers would like to talk to the owners of a Fiat Ducato campervan and a Citroen Relay campervan, and to identify the distinctively-dressed man pictured, all of whom may have information vital to the investigation.

"We apologise for the quality of the images, but they are the best available at this time.

"Anyone who knows who these people are, or of their whereabouts, is urged to call police on 101, or email 101@dc.police.uk, quoting crime reference CR/047164/21".
