Seven people, including three children, have been taken to hospital after a crash involving a land train in Cornwall.

Emergency services were called to Tregoad Holiday Park near Looe at around 6.55pm yesterday evening (Wednesday 30 October).

Looe Land Train said the carriage of the land train "tipped over" and a number of its passengers were injured. None of the injuries are thought to be life changing or life threatening.

Looe Land Train said: "As a small, family owned and run business we are still in shock and our thoughts go out to all of those injured and impacted.

"At this time, the cause of the accident is unknown. No other vehicles were involved. We will be fully cooperating with any investigation by the authorities."

All further Looe Land Train events for the half term have been cancelled. It said it will be in contact with anyone with reservations in the coming days to make a full refund.
