A man appeared in court on Saturday, April 3, charged with attempted arson with intent to endanger life.

25 year old Ryan Paul Roberts, of 118 Rawnsley House, Goodhind Street, Bristol, is accused of setting an occupied police van on fire at a 'Kill the Bill' protest in Bristol.

The incident is alleged to have happened during violent disorder at Bridewell Street in Bristol on Sunday March 21.

Roberts was arrested in Plymouth at the end of last month by Devon & Cornwall Police.
