Young man denies murder following death of woman in a Cornish village
Police were called to Crowlas, near Penzance, following reports of a suspicious death
A young man has pleaded not guilty to murder following the death of a woman in a Cornish village.
Emergency services were called to an address in Crowlas, near Penzance, on Tuesday 22nd June following reports of a suspicious death.
44-year-old Sally Poynton was found dead at the scene.
Appearing before Truro Crown Court on 10th August, 22-year-old Jacob Poynton-Whiting denied murder.
He also pleaded not guilty to a separate charge of unlawful wounding of another person.
Mr Poynton-Whiting has been remanded in custody and is due to stand trial on 31st January 2022.
