Hundreds of plastic beach toys have been found wash up or abandoned in north Cornwall.

The beach combing group Lego Lost at Sea, which collects rubbish and discarded items from our coast, collected the haul of items from just two beaches in north Cornwall.

The buckets, spades and various toys were collected in the space of a week.

Many had simply been left in the sand and others were incredibly thin or broken.

"Another haul of lost, forgotten and abandoned beach toys, many of them broken.

"These were all picked up over the last week from two beaches on the north coast of Cornwall.

"Some of the buckets are eggshell thin and break as soon as they are used."
