Person suffers spinal injuries following crash in Mullion

A person is thought to have suffered spinal injuries following a crash in Cornwall.

Emergency crews were called to Lender Lane in Mullion this afternoon (Tuesday 30th March) to reports of a single-vehicle road traffic collision.

Fire crews from Mullion Fire Station, Helston Fire Station and the Rescue Tender from Tolvaddon were sent to the scene after the vehicle had rolled, trapping the occupant inside.

Ambulance and Police were also called to the scene.

The road is partially blocked until the vehicle can be recovered.

"One appliance from Mullion Fire Station, one from Helston Fire Station and the Rescue Tender from Tolvaddon were mobilised to a single vehicle road traffic collision.

"The vehicle had rolled and the occupant was trapped inside. The crew from Mullion used battery-operated crash rescue equipment to release the casualty who was suffering from spinal injuries."

"Ambulance and Police were also in attendance.

"There are no further details for this incident.

Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service

"Lender Lane partially blocked. Slow traffic due to an accident. One vehicle involved near The Commons.

"The road is partially blocked until the vehicle can be recovered."
