Person seriously injured in crash near St Austell

A person has sustained serious injuries following a crash near St Austell.

Emergency services were called to the B3274 at around 7.45am today. The crash involved a lorry and a motorbike.

The road is currently closed in both directions. Traffic monitoring service Inrix says: "The B3274 in both directions closed, heavy traffic due to accident from the Whitemoor turn off (Roche) to A391 (Single Rose Roundabout, Stenalees)."

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police were called to reports of a road traffic collision involving a lorry and a motorbike on the B3274 at Stenalees, near St Austell, at around 7.45am today, Tuesday 1 August.

"One person has been reported to have serious injuries. Emergency services at the scene.

"The road has been closed in both directions and is likely to remain so for some time. Road users are advised to seek alternative routes.

"The incident is ongoing."
