Pensioner suffers potentially life-changing injuries following crash in Penryn

A man in his 70's is thought to have suffered potentially life-changing injuries following a crash near Penryn.
Devon and Cornwall Police were informed by the Cornwall Ambulance Service at around 2.30pm on Wednesday afternoon (25th November).
Officers say a collision took place in Trenoweth Lane, Mabe Burnthouse, between a red Peugeot car and a cyclist .
A 73-year-old man was taken to hospital where he remains receiving treatment.
The 23-year-old female driver of the car was not injured.
Anyone who saw what happened is being asked to contact police.
"At approximately 2.30pm on Wednesday 25th November 2020, emergency Services were notified of a road traffic collision involving a red Peugeot motor vehicle and a cyclist on Trenoweth Lane, Mabe Burnthouse near Penryn.
"The driver, a 23 year old female, was uninjured and the cyclist, a 73 year old male, sustained serious injuries.
"The cyclist was transported to the Royal Cornwall Hospital Treliske where he currently remains receiving treatment for his injuries.
"Officers from the Alliance’s Roads Policing Team attended the scene and commenced an investigation of the scene with officers working to establish the cause of this collision.
"Witnesses are asked to contact police on 101 or via email at 101@dc.police.uk quoting log number 416, 25/11/20."
