A new high ropes zip wire course has launched in Cornwall - to raise money to support some of Cornwall's most vulnerable children.

The 'Zip Wire Safari' is a multi zip near Penryn, with Via Ferrata and BF Adventure, to encourage young people to build confidence and life skills through trauma informed youth work in the outdoors.

The charity offers 1-2-1 support with children who may have disabilities, mental health issues or experienced domestic abuse - but helping them break down mental and physical barriers.

Eleanor Devenish, from Community Interest Group Via Ferretta, said:

"The charity is all about supporting vulnerable children and young people, it's all about bringing them outdoors into our wonderful natural environment.

"Letting them have the opportunity to do different outdoor adventures that will build their confidence, build their resilience."

The Via Ferrata 'adventure quarry' was first set up in 2020 and this year has launched its new zip wire course which hopes to raise vital funds to support and provide inclusive activities for disabled children and young people in need.

Eleanor Devenish added:

"The general public come here and have a go, when they learn that actually these adventures aren't just for them, they're for Cornwall's really vulnerable young people and that helps with their self esteem, they love it."
