Pedestrian in hospital with serious injuries following hit-and-run in Penryn
The man was found unconscious on the side of the road and police are trying to locate the driver
A pedestrian has suffered serious injuries following a hit-and-run near Penryn.
Police were called at 10.40pm on Saturday 28th May after a man was found unconscious on the side of the B3292 between Treluswell roundabout and Penryn.
It is believed that he had been involved in a collision with a Land Rover, possibly black in colour, which left the scene.
The pedestrian, a local man in his 50s, sustained multiple serious injuries and was taken to Treliske Hospital.
Officers are trying to locate the driver and want anyone with information to come forward.
A Devon & Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "Officers from the Roads Policing Team are investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision and carrying out enquiries to locate the driver.
"They are appealing for witnesses to come forward and would be keen to hear from anyone who may have captured the incident on dashcam."
