Pedestrian in collision with car on busy main road into Truro

A pedestrian has been involved in a collision with a car in a busy road into Truro.

An ambulance was called to the scene near Treliske Hospital but it is not yet known if anyone has been seriously injured.

Police got the call to the A390 just before 4pm on Thursday afternoon.

"Police received reports of a road traffic collision between a car and a pedestrian on the A390 at Treliske, Truro, at around 3.50pm on Thursday 25 March.

"An ambulance is at the scene but the extent of the injuries are unknown.

"Incident ongoing."

At the time, Inrix Traffic and Travel was reporting that it happened near the roundabout and traffic heading in and out of Truro was being affected.

"A390 Tresawls Road partially blocked, slow traffic due to accident, a car and pedestrian involved at Newbridge View (Treliske Roundabout). On the roundabout.

"Affecting traffic heading in and out of Truro."

It is understood that the road has now cleared.
