Man airlifted to hospital following crash in Newquay

A man in his 20's has suffered multiple injuries after he was hit by a car in Cliff Road

A man in his 20s has been airlifted to hospital following a crash in Newquay.

Devon and Cornwall Police were called to Cliff Road at around 3.15pm on Thursday 10th December following a collision between a pedestrian and a car.

Officers say the man was taken to Derriford Hospital via coastguard helicopter having suffered from multiple injuries.

The incident is currently ongoing.

It is reported that the road is closed in both directions and is affecting traffic near Newquay Train Station.

"Cliff Road in both directions blocked. Very slow traffic due to accident, a vehicle and pedestrian involved from Berry Road to Edgcumbe Avenue.

"Affecting traffic near the Newquay train station."

"Police are on the scene of a collision between a pedestrian and a car which occurred on Cliff Road, Newquay, at around 3.15pm this afternoon.

"The pedestrian, a man in his 20s has been taken to Derriford Hospital via coastguard helicopter with multiple injuries.
