Police on scene of ongoing incident following 'possible assault' in Penzance

Anyone who saw what happened is being asked to contact officers

Police have issued an appeal following reports of a possible assault in Penzance.

Emergency services were called to the Jennings Street area just after 3pm this afternoon (16th May).

We are told the incident is still ongoing and officers remains in the area. But the nature of what happened in not yet known.

Anyone who saw what happened, or who has any information, is being asked to contact police.

A Devon & Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "Emergency services were called to the area of Jennings Street, Penzance, at around 3.15pm today following reports of a possible assault.

"The incident is ongoing at this time and officers remain in the area.

"Anyone who was in the area at the time and witnessed anything that may assist our enquiries is asked to contact 101 quoting log 444 16/5/22."
