More than one million people in Cornwall and Devon have had a Covid vaccine

More than one million people across Devon and Cornwall have had their first dose of a Covid-19 vaccine.
The statistics, which provide the position as of April 25, show that there have been 1,417,398 vaccines delivered in the two counties, with 1,008,542 of them being the first dose.
In Devon, 683,712 people have had their first dose, with 271,135 of them having had a second dose, while in Cornwall, 324,830 people have had their first dose, with 137,721 a second dose.
It means that in Devon, 68.4 per cent of adults have had at least vaccine dose, while more than a quarter – 27.1 per cent – have had their second dose,
In Cornwall, 70.1 per cent of adults have had one dose, with 29.8 per cent having had their second dose as well. These figures will have risen in the most recent days as it shows the position as of Sunday.
Of the adult population, 70.1 per cent in Cornwall, 74.9 per cent in East Devon, 55.2 per cent in Exeter, 82.8 per cent in the Isles of Scilly, 71 per cent in Mid Devon, 71.8 per cent in North Devon, 64.9 per cent in Plymouth, 75 per cent in South Hams, 75.1 per cent in Teignbridge, 74.9 per cent in Torbay, 73.7 per cent in Torridge, and 75.7 per cent in West Devon, have had one dose. These figures are as of April 25 and so will have risen in recent days.
And for the first time, figures detailing second doses have been revealed at a local level. Of the adult population, 29.8 per cent in Cornwall, 33.1 per cent in East Devon, 24 per cent in Exeter, 32.9 per cent in the Isles of Scilly, 27.1 per cent in Mid Devon Devon, 28.1 per cent in North Devon, 24.5 per cent in Plymouth, 29.3 per cent in South Hams, 27.6 per in Teignbridge, 26.9 per cent in Torbay, 25.4 per cent in Torridge and 40.8 per cent in West Devon, as of April 25, had their second dose.
