No trains running in Cornwall as more rail strikes begin
Staff across the country are walking out over pay, jobs and conditions

No main line trains are running in Cornwall, as another nationwide rail strike gets underway.
Great Western Railway and Cross Country are not operating any services in the Duchy today, with branch lines affected as well.
Tens of thousands of RMT members are walking out on Wednesday 27 July in a row over pay, potential job losses and conditions.
It means only a fifth of services are running across the country, with more action planned for Saturday 30 July too.
The strikes are affecting holidaymakers in Cornwall, especially those who were hoping to use popular branch lines like St Ives.
Jason Caldar and his wife own the Rookery Guest house by the train station in St Ives and he says some of their guests have had to check-in a day early.
"Two weeks ago they heard about the strikes going to happen and we'd been in contact. We made a space for them so they could come a day early.
"In that case it's been an advantage to us but I can't see a lot of that going on because a lot of people would cancel normally.
"It does affect us because we're right near the station and a lot of people like to come and stay with us because we're very near the station so I'm watching this space.
"We were very lucky the last train strike - most of the people were driving that weekend so we were just very lucky but I'm sure a lot of people aren't so lucky".
How will the strikes affect Cornwall?
On its website, Great Western Railway says: "Planned industrial action by the RMT, Aslef and the TSSA unions means we expect rail services to be severely affected on Wednesday 27 and Saturday 30 July, and a significantly reduced temporary timetable will be in place.
"On strike days an extremely limited service will operate between 0700 and 1830, and last trains will leave much earlier. Due to the timing of the strike action, services after strike days will also be affected.
"Passengers are advised to find alternative ways to travel on these days. Only travel if absolutely necessary. The majority of train services will not operate and there will be no services on some routes.
"GWR will operate as many trains as possible during the strike action, however the following travel advice is in place over the strike period:
"Wednesday 27 July: A significantly limited service will operate please make alternative travel arrangements and only travel if absolutely necessary".
Great Western Railway says no rail services will operate on the following routes:
All lines in Cornwall, including all branch lines
West of Exeter towards Plymouth/Cornwall (due to no contingency signallers)
All branch lines in Devon (Barnstaple, Exmouth, Paignton, Okehampton)
South Wales main line (Carmarthen/Swansea – Cardiff Central)
Berks & Hants line (Reading – Taunton via Castle Cary)
Wessex main line (Bath Spa – Portsmouth Harbour)
Heart of Wessex line (Westbury – Weymouth)
TransWilts line (Swindon–Westbury via Melksham)
Severn Beach line (Bristol Temple Meads – Severn Beach)
North Cotswolds line (Hereford/Worcester – Oxford)
South Cotswolds line (Cheltenham Spa – Swindon)
Worcester/Gloucester – Bristol

GWR says trains will continue to be disrupted on Thursday 28 July and is advising people to make alternative travel arrangements and only travel if absolutely necessary. They say more disruption is likely on Sunday 31 July following Saturday's action and the advice is to check the website before you travel.
No Cross Country services will operate in Cornwall on Wednesday 27 July and the advice is to check for updates on the website before you travel.
