It is believed a teenager, reported missing on Merseyside on Friday, could be in Cornwall.

Devon & Cornwall Police have shared the appeal to find Samuel Somerville, saying concerns are growing for his safety.

The 17-year-old has strong links to both Newquay and Redruth.

He is described as being tall, slim and with short blonde hair.

Anyone who sees Samuel is being urged to contact officers via 101, quoting log 559 of March 4th.

Devon & Cornwall Police said: "Police are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of 17-year-old Samuel Somerville, who has been reported missing from the Merseyside area.

"Samuel was last seen in the Merseyside area but is believed to have strong links to Cornwall, particularly Newquay and Redruth.

"He is described as being of slim build, with short blond hair and is 6ft 2in tall.

"He is believed to be in the Cornwall area.

"If you have seen Samuel, or know of his whereabouts, please email 101@dc.police.uk or call police on 101, quoting log number 0559 of Friday 4th March".
