People in Porthleven urged to check gardens, sheds and garages for missing man

James - also known as Frank, Fran and Jimmy - has not been seen since Friday evening

People in Porthleven are being urged to check their gardens, sheds and garages to try and find a man who has gone missing.

James Parsons, who is also known as Frank, Fran and Jimmy, has not been seen since Friday evening when the food festival was taking place.

Officers are concerned for the 53-year-old's welfare and have launched an urgent appeal to try and find him.

In an update, Devon & Cornwall Police said: "Officers are appealing for residents in the Porthleven area to check their gardens, sheds, garages and any insecure outbuildings as searches continue for missing man, James Parsons.

"James, also known as ‘Frank’, ‘Fran’ and ‘Jimmy’, was last seen in Porthleven on Friday 22nd April at around 7pm wearing shorts and a hoodie."

He is described as a white male, around 5ft 10ins tall and of medium build. He has brown/grey wavy hair which is balding at the back and is clean shaven. He was last seen wearing blue shorts and a black hoodie.

Anyone who sees James or knows of his whereabouts is asked to contact police on 999 quoting log 223 24/4/22.
