Family of man missing in south-east Cornwall confirm "he's home"

More than 2,500 people shared an appeal to find 41-year-old Mark Purtill from Liskeard, who disappeared on Monday (28th June)

The family of a man, missing in south-east Cornwall for over 24 hours, have confirmed he is home.

Devon & Cornwall Police issued an urgent appeal to find 41-year-old Mark Purtill from Liskeard.

He disappeared on the morning of Monday 28th June and had not been seen since Monday afternoon.

A post from Mark's family on Tuesday night simply said "HE'S HOME".

Appeals by both the police and Mark's family received more than 2,500 shares on social media.

Earlier on Tuesday, a family member posted to beg locals to keep searching and thank everyone for their support.

The post said: "If anyone sees him tell him to come home. He has to come home then it will all be ok. Until then we keep searching".

It continued: "Thank you to everyone who searched high and low till the early hours. We are eternally grateful".
