A missing therapy dog who visits patients at the Merlin MS Centre in Cornwall has now been found safe.

Hugo is an eight-year-old Shih Tzu cross Poodle and is blonde in colour.

He has been a therapy dog since he was just three months old and goes to the centre, based at Hewas Water near St Austell, with his owner Ash.

Hugo is staying with some friends in Lanner while his owner is on holiday but escaped on Sunday and got lost.

Several sightings were reported and the Merlin MS Centre issued a desperate appeal to find him.

Sarah O'Brien, from the Merlin MS Centre, told us: "We're all really upset and I'm sure Hugo is really scared and hungry".

We can now confirm that Hugo was found safe and well on Monday afternoon (30th May) and is back where he belongs.

We love a happy ending!
