Air ambulance called to Wadebridge town centre after man suffers medical episode

An air ambulance and multiple ambulances were called to the scene of a medical episode in Wadebridge Town Centre.

Emergency services responded to reports of a man suffering a medical episode outside the Swan Hotel on Molesworth Street on Thursday afternoon (27th February).

He was taken to Treliske Hospital for treatment.

Several roads were cordoned off, causing disruption in the town centre.

A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 12:43pm on Thursday 27th February to an incident in Wadebridge.

"We sent two double-crewed land ambulances, an air ambulance, an operations officer and a first responder to the scene.

"We conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Treliske Hospital.”
