Man in his 30s dies at car park in Truro city centre

Emergency services were called amid concerns for a person's welfare

Police have confirmed that a man in his thirties has died at a car park in the middle of Truro.

Officers and paramedics were called to Moorfield just after 9am on Tuesday morning.

It was following concerns for a person's welfare.

Sadly a man had died at the scene and his family have been told.

Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Police and ambulance were called at 9.10am today 2nd November following concern for the welfare of a man in Moorfield Car Park in Truro.

"The man, in his 30s, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

"His next of kin have been informed.

"Police are not treating the death as suspicious and a file will be prepared for HM Coroner."
