Two arrested after man suffers suspected stab wounds in broad daylight in Newquay

Police say a man has suffered suspected stab wounds after an incident in Newquay in broad daylight.
They were called to reports of an altercation outside a Laundrette on Tower Road on Saturday afternoon.
Officers have confirmed the casualty in his 40s suffered serious injuries and was rushed to hospital, where he is said to be in a stable condition.
Two people have been arrested on suspicion of assault, including a 17-year-old boy.
Both are from the area and, as of Sunday lunchtime, remained in custody.
Devon and Cornwall Police say a cordon remains in place and are urging potential witnesses to come forward.
The force said: "Police were called to reports of an altercation in the area of a laundrette in Tower Road, Newquay, between 2.30pm and 3.10pm on Saturday 30 April.
"The incident continued to an alleyway off Higher Tower Road where a further serious assault is reported to have taken place and a man aged in his 40s sustained suspected stab wounds.
"The casualty's injuries are currently believed to be serious and he is in a stable condition in hospital, where he continues to receive treatment.
"A 20-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy, both from the Newquay area, have been arrested on suspicion of assault.
"Both remain in police custody at this time while enquiries continue.
"A police cordon remains in place at the scene at this time.
