Police appeal after man stabbed at Launceston petrol station

Officers say that two men were assaulted on Tuesday night

Investigations are underway after two men were assaulted in Launceston.

Officers were called to the Asda petrol station at 11.40pm on Tuesday night (2 July).

Police say one of the victims suffered a stab wound to his head. The injury is not believed to be life-threatening or changing.

Both victims were also believed to have been punched causing facial injuries.

A 20-year-old man from Launceston has been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 causing grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in police custody.

Enquiries are ongoing to locate a suspect who is described as a white male with light brown or blonde hair. He was believed to be wearing dark clothing and trainers.
