A man has died after being pulled from the sea at a popular beach near Newquay.
Emergency services rushed to Crantock Beach last night (Thursday 22nd July).
Police were alerted by the coastguard at 7.30pm and have since confirmed a man in his 30s was pronounced dead at the scene.
Devon & Cornwall Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious.
In a statement, police said: "Police were called by the coastguard at 7.30pm last night to Crantock Beach, Newquay following reports of that a person had been pulled from the water.
"A man in his 30s was confirmed deceased at the scene.
"His next of kin have been informed.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner".
