A man has been jailed after admitting to a series of bomb hoaxes against a secondary school and the NHS in Truro.

Two of the charges relate to an incident at Richard Lander School and a third to an NHS facility in the city.

Rodney Peasley, of Radnor Road in Scorrier, pleaded guilty to the three charges at Truro Magistrates Court back in December.

The 66-year-old also admitted four counts of causing criminal damage relating to a Covid vaccination centre at Mount Hawke.

The incidents took place between the 26th October and 19th November 2021.

Appearing at Truro Crown Court on Friday (21st January), Peasley was sentenced to a total of 21 months in prison.
