Man suffers potentially life-threatening injuries following e-bike crash in Falmouth

A man has suffered potentially life-changing or life-threatening injuries following a late night e-bike crash in Falmouth.

It happened at the roundabout junction of Bickland Hill and Conway Road just before 2am on Saturday.

A local man in his 30s is currently being treated at Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.

Police and paramedics were called to the scene and anyone with information or dashcam footage is urged to come forward.

A force spokesperson said: "Police investigating a single-vehicle road traffic collision involving an electrically-assisted pedal cycle in Falmouth are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.

"Officers were called to reports of the collision at the roundabout junction of Bickland Hill and Conway Road, in Falmouth at around 1.50am on Saturday 5th February.

"As a result of the collision, a man in his 30s, from the Falmouth area, sustained potentially life-changing or life-threatening injuries and is currently being treated at Derriford Hospital.

"Local officers attended the scene, along with officers from the operations department and the South Western Ambulance Service Trust.

"The police would like anyone who witnessed the incident, has any information or dashcam footage and who has not already been in contact with officers at the scene, to come forward."
