Man dies after being found unresponsive in car near Cornish recycling centre

A man has died after being found unresponsive in a car near a recycling centre in south east Cornwall.

Police were called to concerns for a person's welfare close, to the Connon Bridge site at East Taphouse.

Paramedics and the air ambulance were also scrambled on Tuesday morning (5th April).

The casualty was treated at the scene but, tragically, could not be saved.

Devon and Cornwall Police say his family have been informed.

Officers are investigating the circumstances around the man's death but say it is not being treated as suspicious.

The force said: "Police were called at 11.05am today (5th April) following concern for the welfare of a man found unresponsive within a car close to Connon Bridge Recycling Centre in Liskeard.

"Paramedics and the air ambulance also attended.

"The man was treated at the scene but was pronounced deceased a short time later.

"Police are carrying out enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the man’s death although it is not believed suspicious at this time.

"His next of kin have been informed".
