Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious

Police have confirmed that the body of a man in his 30s was found in the street in Truro city centre over the weekend.

Officers were called to Calenick Street on Sunday afternoon amid concerns for a person's welfare on the pavement.

Sadly he had died at the scene.

The man's family have been told and the death is not being treated as suspicious.

A Devon & Cornwall Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at 5.15pm on Sunday 6th February to Calenick Street, Truro, following reports of concern for the welfare of a man located on the pavement.

"A man in his 30s, was confirmed deceased at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
