Man dies in St Austell crash

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal crash in St Austell.

Emergency services were called to Carclaze Road at around 3.30am on Friday (16 June).

It was reported that the incident involved a white Yamaha motorbike and happened at the junction of the A391.

A 44-year-old man from St Austell was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by officers.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team attended the collision to investigate and establish how it occurred. The road was closed for seven hours whilst this took place.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses and anyone in the area with relevant dash-cam, CCTV or doorbell footage to report it.
