Man charged in connection with suspicious package incident in Flushing

A man from Pembrokeshire's been charged in connection with the sending of a suspicious package that was discovered in Cornwall on the weekend.

58 year old Lee Moody from Dogmaels plead not guilty at a hearing in Haverford West Magistrates today, charged with sending a mock explosive device through the post from Guildford in Surrey.

The Explosive Ordinance Disposal team were called to Trefuiss Road in Flushing, Falmouth in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The bomb dispoal team spent time investigating the suspicious package, and a 100m cordon was put up as a precaution with nearby residents evacuated and roads closed.

The suspicious package was deemed to be no risk to the public.

Lee Moody has been remanded in custody and is due to return to Swansea Crown Court on Friday 10 February.
