Man charged with making threats to kill following incident in Cornish village

A man has been charged with five offences, including making threats to kill, following an incident in a Cornish village.

Emergency services were called to Penwyn Garage, on Hendra Road in St Dennis, on Tuesday afternoon (14th December).

A cordon was put in place and a man was arrested.

30-year-old Sam Rhodes from the St Austell area has now appeared before Truro Magistrates Court.

He is also accused of assault, criminal damage, possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life and possession of an imitation firearm.

He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Truro Crown Court on the 11th January via video link.
