Man attacked in Redruth sparks police appeal

He was approached and attacked with what is thought to have been a bladed article.

A man in his 30's, who was approached and attacked with what is thought to have been a bladed article in Redruth, has sparked a police appeal for witnesses.

Devon and Cornwall Police say it happened around 8pm on Friday 23 October.

The incident happened while the man was walking along a pathway near to the Collins Arms pub on Higher Fore Street.

He was treated in hospital for a minor laceration to his abdomen.

Officers say they would like to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident, was in the area at the time and may have seen the suspect.

They are also asking for anyone who has CCTV footage of the location and surrounding area which could assist police enquiries to come forward.
