Man arrested following chase in Newquay across roads, paths, cliffs and sea

A man has been arrested following what police have described as a 'unique foot chase' in Newquay.

Officers, armed police, search dogs and the RNLI were involved in the operation the Saturday before last.

Newquay Police Reponse tweeted to say teams covered grass, road paths, steps, cliffs and sea.

In a statement given to Cornwall Live, Devon and Cornwall have since confirmed a man was detained on suspicion of breaching bail and stalking.

"Police in Newquay arrested a 36-year-old man from Falmouth on suspicion of breaching bail conditions and stalking.

"The man was arrested on Saturday 1st May and bailed to the police station to Tuesday 18th May, pending further enquiries".
