Man arrested on suspicion of murder following 'serious incident' in Camborne

A second man was also arrested in connection with the incident which led to the death of a 31-year-old woman

A 48-year-old local man has been released on police bail after he was arrested on suspicion of murder following an incident in Camborne.

Police were contacted by the ambulance service at around 9.45am on Tuesday 20 October when paramedics attended an address in Uglow Close, Camborne, after concern was expressed for the welfare of a woman.

The 31-year-old woman was taken to hospital where she was pronounced deceased.

Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death, which is currently being treated as unexplained.

Officers remain at the property and enquiries are ongoing.

The woman's next-of-kin have been informed.

A 48-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and released on police bail until 12 November.

As part of the investigation, a second man, aged 48 and from Camborne, has been arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug. He has also been released on bail until 12 November, while enquiries continue.

Officers are appealing for anyone who may have been in the Uglow Close and Trerise Road areas of Camborne in the early hours of Tuesday 20 October to come forward.
