Man arrested after knife incident in Falmouth

Police in Cornwall have confirmed officers were called to Glasney Road in Falmouth at around 3pm yesterday (18 November) following reports that a man had been seen with a bladed weapon.

Firearms officers were deployed to the area to carry out searches and further enquiries.

Their investigation led the force to a nearby property, where a knife was located and seized.

A 26-year-old man from Falmouth was arrested on suspicion of making threats to kill, possessing a knife in a public place, assault and harassment.

He remains in police custody while enquiries continue.
