A man's been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Camborne.
It's after police were called to reports that a woman was seriously injured at a property in the area of Uglow Close at 5:55am on Tuesday morning.
A man in his 40s from Camborne was detained and remains in custody.
The woman is still being treated in hospital.
Devon and Cornwall Police believe the man and the woman are both known to each other, and officers remain at the area as they work to establish exactly what happened.
The force add there will be an increased police presence in the area.
