Man arrested after reported fight in Falmouth park

Police continue enquiries into the incident

A man in his 30s has been arrested following reports of a group of people fighting in Kimberley Park, Falmouth.

Devon and Cornwall Police responded to a call at around 5.50pm yesterday, on 11th February, about the altercation.

The police were alerted earlier to three incidents in the town, believed to have involved one of the individuals present at the park.

When officers arrived at the scene in Kimberley Park, a suspect fled towards Dracaena Avenue.

The man was subsequently apprehended and arrested on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.

He is currently in police custody.

Police enquiries into the incident are ongoing.
