Man arrested after three-vehicle crash near Penryn

A man in his 40s and from the Truro area is being held on suspicion of drink-drinking

Police investigating a multi-vehicle crash on one of the main roads to Penryn say a man has been arrested.

They received reports of a three-vehicle collision on the B3292 at Lower Treluswell at around 9.30pm on Sunday night.

The stretch near the Treluswell Roundabout was closed until the early hours of Monday 22nd August.

Inrix Traffic and Travel were describing the incident as serious, but police have confirmed no serious injuries have been reported.

A force spokesperson said: "This was reports of a collision involving three cars on the B3292 at Lower Treluswell, Penryn, at around 9.30pm on Sunday 21st August.

"No serious injuries reported at this time.

"The road was closed between the roundabout and Penryn until around 12.50am.

"A man, aged in his 40s from the Truro area, was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and remains in police custody".
