Man arrested after 'police chase' and crash in Truro

Officers say two men have been charged with driving or drug offences

A man arrested after a crash that caused chaos in a busy part of Truro has been charged.

Police say a car failed to stop in the Tregolls Road area on Tuesday evening (20th September).

Shortly afterwards, they had reports that a vehicle had been in collision with two buses near the Trafalgar Roundabout.

Nearby roads were closed to allow officers to deal with the incident, which left three people, a passenger from the car and two bus passengers, with minor injuries.

A 22-year-old man from Helston has since been charged with with dangerous driving, driving without insurance and driving whilst disqualified.

A 20-year-old man from Falmouth has been charged with possession with intent to supply a Class A drug, possession of criminal property and possession of a bladed weapon in a public place.

Both men were due to appear before Truro Magistrates Court on Thursday 22nd September.
