A letter, addressed to a woman who lives 'somewhere at the top of town' in St Ives, has made its way to its recipient.

Tracey Fitzharris says her friends sent the envelope, which contained a postcard, from all the way in Duror, Scotland.

And despite not stating a house number, street name or postcode, it safely made its way down to Cornwall and to the correct house.

Tracey shared the photo online and paid tribute to the local sorting office and postie for their help.

"My very good friend who lives in Scotland moved just before Xmas. She felt bad when she received my Xmas card as she hadn’t sent any.

"So last week knowing that I was recovering from surgery she decided to send a card with no address.... it arrived on Thursday morning.

"I don’t know which postman delivered it. I was surprised but I also wasn’t, as our post office are pretty fantastic.

"To say thanks to them I posted on Facebook and from there it’s just been completely bonkers!"
