A big fire has broken out at a derelict building in Camborne.

Firefighters are on the scene at Church View Road after receiving multiple 999 calls just before 4.45pm on Monday afternoon.

They have confirmed that a large detached farmhouse is well alight.

People have reported seeing the smoke from Beacon, as photos show it billowing.

Another said the smoke caused their fog lights to come on when driving on the Camborne link road, Kerrier Way.

“It was very thick, felt a bit edgy driving through it due to the thickness.

"You could see passersby covering their faces as they tried to walk past, the smell was pretty intense!”
