Knife incident in St Blazey

A 35-year-old man from St Blazey has been charged after a man was reportedly seen with a machete in the town.

Officers responded around 6.40pm on Friday, March 7.

In a statement, Devon and Cornwall Police said: "35 year-old Ricky Mark Barnes, of Doubletrees in St Blazey, has been charged with possession of a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place and criminal damage.

"It follows an alleged incident in St Blazey on the evening of Friday 7 March.

"He was remanded in custody and will appear at Bodmin Magistrates’ Court today, Monday 10 March."
