Hawk jets have resumed flying following that Royal Navy aircraft crash in Cornwall.

A hawk T1 from RNAS Culdrose came down in the St Martin area, near Helston, on the 25th March.

Eyewitnesses described seeing their parachutes open before hearing a "very loud bang" as the jet banked over a nearby hill.

Both pilots managed to eject and were taken to Derriford Hospital. It has been confirmed that they have not suffered any life-changing injuries.

The jets were temporarily grounded while an investigation was carried out.

Culdrose have now tweeted an update.

They have also confirmed that the two pilots are doing well.

They tweeted: "Hawk jets from #736NAS have resumed flying following last week’s incident.

"Thanks for all the support to the pilots; they’re doing fine."
